Developing Sixty Eight Ave

Developing this website wasn't easy. Not because it was difficult, but because I had to get over my own head in order to stick to a design I loved. I made so many designs before settling on the one that you see right now. It was a struggle.

After all the blood, sweat and tears, I'm actually really proud of how this website turned out. I was lost about which direction I wanted to take this website. Was I going to make it just a portfolio page? Was I going to use a CMS? There were many months of how I was going present my work online and whether or not I wanted to have an online store or keep a blog. But I realized I wanted both, so here we are.

I built this website on WordPress using the Genesis Framework, and used the Genesis Sample Theme as the base for my design. I'm very proud of how it turned out. I wanted to adapt an existing theme first before going all in with my own child theme. My next redesign will most likely be my own child theme built from scratch.

Now that this site is finally up, I can finally focus on creating content. I'm so excited about all the things I have planned for this site. I'm currently working on some shop items and will be adding them over the month of April.

Thanks for joining me so early on in my journey and I hope you'll stick around to see what I'll have in store for this site.
