How much do you charge for a website?
Your website is dependent on what your needs are. Every website is different, which results in different pricing. A smaller website will cost less than a bigger website. More functionality equals additional charges as well. Please visit the services page to view base prices, and email me to get a web proposal to receive a more accurate price.
How long will it take to have my website completed?
Depending on the size of your website, it generally takes 2-7 weeks to complete a website. Most websites will take 4-6 weeks to complete.
I can't afford your prices. Can you do it for cheaper?
I will not create a custom website for you for less than what I offer, but I can set up a generic looking website for you by installing a premade theme or template (that you will provide) on Squarespace or WordPress for a much more affordable price. Please contact me if you’re interested in learning more about this.
Do you plan on selling Web Design Templates & WordPress themes?
Yes, my main goal is to start selling WordPress themes sometime in the immediate future, and also web design graphic elements. I cannot say for certain if I will sell web design templates however.
Do you offer website maintenance?
I offer a month of free maintenance on websites that I have designed and developed. Then $150/month afterwards. I do not offer maintenance services on websites that I have not set up and built.
When is payment required for your services?
I take 50% before I start a project, and the remainder when the project is complete.
What platforms do you build your websites on?
I build most websites on WordPress using the Genesis Framework. I also use Squarespace for those who want a simple solution in updating their websites.
I don't have any photos for my website. Can you help me find stock photography?
Yes, I can definitely help you find royalty free stock photos. Additional costs will apply as most desirable stock photography is not free.
I am already with a hosting company. Will I have to switch hosting providers to use your services?
Maybe. It depends which hosting provider you are with. I will probably switch you to a different provider if you are with a company like Wix or Weebly. If you are with a self hosted company like Siteground or Bluehost, you will most likely not have to switch. You might have to upgrade your plan, however, to get the most features for your website.
Can we meet face to face?
Of course. I can meet up face to face with those in the Metro Vancouver area in British Columbia, Canada.
Do we have to meet in person to get my website done?
No, I can work with anyone around the world, and not have to meet face to face. Our main form of communication will be through email. I am very responsive to all of my emails and will not leave you without a response. You will need to be responsive to emails as well. We can also chat through Whatsapp, Viber, or Facebook Messenger for urgent messages.
Do you work with any type of client?
No. I work with freelancers, small business owners, artists, bloggers, etc. I do not work with large companies. I have the right to refuse service from clients who promote hate-speech, racism, disturbing content, and adult content.
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept PayPal and e-transfer. I also accept cash for those who live in the Metro Vancouver area.
I'm clueless about the process of designing a website. Will you help guide me through it?
Of course! I will guide you through every step of the way. I will make sure that you won’t be left confused and will explain everything to you and the steps you need to take in order to complete your website.
Are your websites search engine friendly? (SEO optimized)
Yes, of course. I optimize everything I can to make sure your website is visible to search engines.
What is the difference between a brand and a logo?
A logo is an image that represents your company. It usually contains your company name with a graphic and maybe a tagline. Branding is what makes your company marketing cohesive and stand out. A logo is only part of your brand, while your brand is what represents the true vision of your whole company.
Do you think I should redesign my logo?
It depends. If your logo has less than desirable fonts used in it (ie: Comic Sans, Papyrus, etc), then I would definitely recommend you to have your logo redesigned. I also recommend redesigning your logo if there is not enough variants to your logo. You should always have a simplified version of your logo if you choose the ornate route.
How long does it take to design a logo and brand?
It generally takes about 1-3 weeks to design a logo or brand. Logo will take a shorter amount of time to design than a branding design.
What type of clients do you design logos and branding for?
I generally design logos and branding for those who want a whimsical quality to their brand. I will most likely point you to someone else if your branding vision does not match up with who I usually design for. Don’t expect me to design something that looks like someone else’s work, when you can just get someone else who already designs in that style. Not every client will like my designs, so it’s very important that we are both on the same page when it comes to logo and branding design.
